Lady Shaneil “PJ” (Curley) Yarbrough was born in Russellville, AR, on September 9, 1978, to Charley Roy Nichols and Marsheill Finley.  The nickname “PJ” is one that she is affectionately known by, which is short for “Precious Jewel.” Lady Shaneil is the third of four girls that her mother bore.  Her biological parents were unable to care for her and her sisters; therefore, Shaneil entered foster.  Through God’s divine appointment, she and her three sisters were adopted together and reared in Calion, AR, by Andrew and Ernestine Curley.

Lady Shaneil attended public school in Norphlet and graduated in 1996.  After high school, she attended Southern Arkansas University (SAU) in Camden and Magnolia and majored in Early Childhood Education.  In 1998, she obtained her Associate of Arts degree, and in 2000, she received her Bachelor of Science in Education degree. She has now been in Early Childhood Education, with a passion for children and teaching for over 20 years. Her career has brought her great success working for the El Dorado School District, Families and Children Together, Inc, Arkansas State University, and the University of Arkansas. For 18 months, life came full circle as she served as the Executive Director and Administrator of the Agape House Children’s Home, a group foster home.

Shortly before meeting Pastor Larry D., Lady Shaneil fully committed her life to Lord and was filled with the Holy Ghost on SAU Magnolia’s campus. With a new outlook on life as a new wife (married 2000) and mother (Larry D., Jr. “L.J.,” 2001 & Lance, 2004),  Shaneil accepted her calling and began to proclaim God’s word while intentionally sharing her testimony each time an opportunity was presented.   In 2009, she was consecrated as an Evangelist Missionary in the COGIC under Bishop Wallace Johnson. She is also an ordained minister. She has served on numerous boards and finds great joy in being involved in the community of El Dorado and across the state of Arkansas. She published her autobiography, Born a Statistic: Living Rejected, Agree with God, 2018.

Wife, mother, pastor’s wife, daughter, sister, author, life coach, teacher, motivational speaker, minister, and friend are all titles that can be used to describe Lady Shaneil “PJ” Yarbrough.    Nevertheless, the most important is a Woman of God, saved and filled with the precious spirit of the Lord.  Her motto is that you can strive to go higher, rise above obstacles, and live in health, abundance, and victory!
